You Matter to God

Hi — I’m Maureen Gallatin, CEO (that’s Chief Encouragement Officer),
founder, writer, speaker, editor, and wearer of many hats!
Horses on a Mission grew out of the recognition that God was doing amazing things through horses and the people who loved them. But many horse people needed help recognizing God’s hand at work in their lives — and they needed encouragement that their love of horses had meaning beyond sentimentality.

Horses on a Mission exists to honor God and the place horses hold in our lives — horse people encouraging one another in faith, through friendship and hands-on projects that bless people and horses.

FAITH in GOD

A biblical worldview that “you matter to God” and that every life has purpose. It’s about relationship with the Creator, not “religion," and everything we do reinforces the message.

GOOD HORSEMANSHIP

A love of learning, understanding, and caring well for horses. We believe horses are created with special qualities, including relationship, and we have privileges and responsibilities as their guardians.

And we recognize that equine professionals of all kinds have an important role.

PURPOSE & DOING GOOD

A calling to make a difference by doing good for both horses and people. We know that horses are good for people in so many ways, and Horses on a Mission helps people to recognize opportunities and make a difference in their community.

God is reaching out to people through a connection with horses to say, "You matter."

And He's inviting us to see how our stories matter as we encourage each other.

Though Maureen is the founder and the author of of An Extra Flake, there are other great horse people who are involved with Horses on a Mission in various ways.
